Finance Executive
Location: Castleford
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Reporting to: Head of Finance Administration
Castleford Tigers are seeking a Finance Executive to support the day-to-day financial administration of the club. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career to develop within a professional sports environment.
Role Purpose
The Finance Executive will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and consistent financial administration across the club. The role supports rugby, commercial, and central functions and is critical to ensuring finance processes run smoothly and predictably.
Key Responsibilities
Core Finance Administration
- Process supplier invoices and assist with payment runs
- Raise and issue sales invoices for sponsorships, events, and programmes
- Maintain purchase and sales ledgers
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Administer expense claims and petty cash
Support to Rugby & Commercial Finance
- Process approved player-related payments
- Maintain contract and commitment records
- Support sponsorship invoicing and credit control
- Assist with matchday income reconciliation
Reporting & Support
- Support month-end close activities
- Prepare information for audits and returns
- Maintain accurate finance records and documentation
Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous experience in a finance or administrative role (or relevant qualification)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Willingness to learn and follow defined processes
Desirable:
- Studying towards AAT or similar qualification
- Experience using accounting software
- Interest in professional sport
