Castleford & District Naval Association Donates £200 to Castleford Tigers Foundation

The Castleford Tigers Foundation is delighted to have received a £200 donation from the Castleford & District Naval Association, supporting the charity’s ongoing work across the local community.

Representatives from the Association visited The OneBore Stadium to present the donation to Foundation Manager Amy Hardman and Chair of Trustees Steve Jennings. Also pictured were Rob Herrington, serving Royal Navy Commander and President of the Association, proudly displaying his medals, and Phil Mirfin, former Castleford Tigers player and Association member.

A spokesperson for the Naval Association shared: “Twice a year our Association likes to support a local charity. We have previously helped Airedale Baby & Kids Bank and the Pontefract & District Breast Cancer Support Group. We felt the great work Castleford Tigers Foundation are doing for our local community fitted our remit for a donation perfectly.”

The Association recently supported the Castleford Tigers RLFC home fixture against Toulouse Olympique, which was dedicated to the Armed Forces as part of the club’s #SaluteOurForces activity.
