Jepson Celebrates Centenary With Magic Weekend Walk

On Wednesday 1st July, one man will be setting off on the ultimate Rugby League journey of endurance, celebrating our centenary with 100 miles for 100 years of Castleford Tigers.

Glyn Jepson, brother of Tigers owner Martin, will be walking to Magic Weekend in support of The Prince of Wales Hospice and Castleford Tigers Foundation. The journey, which will take place over 5 days, will see Glyn setting off from Wheldon Road at 9am on 1st July, arriving at 11am at the Hill Dickinson Stadium ahead of our Magic Weekend Derby clash with Wakefield Trinity on Sunday 5th July (12:30pm Kick Off). Cas Legends John Joyner, Tony Marchant and Wayne Godwin will be joining him for the first section of the walk.

You can get involved and help Glyn reach his target by:

  • Donating to the challenge
  • Joining the walk, take on the full route, a full day, or a shorter section – everyone is welcome!
  • Walk the first two miles through Castleford
  • Join the final mile into Magic Weekend
  • Help with transport, wellbeing or practical support

He is encouraging Tigers fans to help send him off in style, joining the journey for the first mile from the OneBore departure point to the edge of Castleford town centre. Any distance you can cover will be a great support to Glyn, so come along and help send him off on the day.

Raising money for two fantasic causes, any donations are more than welcome. Click here to donate today and help him reach his £10k target.
