IN CONVERSATION: Liam Hood

Liam Hood has had a strong start to life as a Castleford Tigers player.
He spoke to us ahead of our game against Warrington this weekend.
Q: How are you settling in with the boys?
A: Yeah, settling in really well! All the boys have been great and really welcoming - as has everyone else at the club.
Q: What do you see your role within the squad - both as a player and as a person?
A: On the field, I see my role as bringing some experience and leadership. My game has certainly changed over the years, and now I try bring the energy to the middle unit and lead some of the effort-area stuff.
Off the field, same again with the leadership, but also like to have a laugh. Always try to make the changing rooms a fun place to be !
Q: How is the squad feeling going into games against Warrington and Bradford?
A: Yeah, we are feeling confident going into our next games. We've been inconsistent with our performances, which we aren’t happy about, but know the things that need fixing are easily fixable.
We spoke about always competing and were disappointed with the last game against St Helens. We felt we didn’t... but will certainly be getting back to that these next games.
