Castleford Tigers launch new events department

An all new events department has launched at Castleford Tigers, bringing the best events to the town and helping the Castleford Tigers grow their commercial revenues. 

FORDS Events will bring regular events to the OneBore Stadium following months of investment, firstly in the hospitality lounges and finally in the Fan Zone which has launched initially on matchdays with the view to make the Tigers' home the hub of the community. FORDS Events will be hosting multi functional events throughout the calendar, from business meetings, conferences, celebratory events, funerals, proms, Christmas parties and a New Years Eve event.    

A permanent big screen will be in place in the coming weeks which will allow FORDS Events to create special watch along parties, starting with the FIFA World Cup this summer. There are also plans to launch monthly dining events, carveries, after dinner evenings, live music events, cinema movie days and nights and various other exciting entertainment initiatives. 

CEO Danny Wilson said, “ We are thrilled to introduce FORDS Events which will come with its own team dedicated to bringing exciting events to Castleford. The investment from the ownership and the local council over the past year has allowed us to have vastly improved facilities and now we have the opportunity to do something that hasn’t been done in Castleford for a long time and bring some special non-matchday events to town. This will also help us to grow the Clubs commercial revenues, which is key to keeping Cas Tigers sustainable and ultimately more competitive on the field too.”
