Food and beverage stations
Over the last 20 weeks, an intensive construction programme has been undertaken at the OneBore Stadium, both dressing rooms, fire control systems resurfacing works and boundary remodelling works amongst other works have been completed.
Further to these works, we have invested, designed and built four new beverage and food stations and redeveloped the Princess Street bar to serve both beverages and food, we acknowledge that we have had a few issues that are affecting both the service and quantity of food per serving. We are working tirelessly in the background to resolve these issues and will have them resolved for the up and coming Challenge Cup tie against St Helens, this is a totally new service that the club has introduced and has taken a bit longer than expected to work through the teething problems.
The introduction of these food and beverage stations are part of our business plan to increase both business resilience and to create employment opportunities for the local community, as part of this plan, all profits will be retained and reinvested back into the club. We thank you for your feedback and supporting our great club.
Hot drinks
After review of the feedback regarding our new Casta Coffee drink station, we will be introducing another hot drinks station within the FanZone area, and we are currently upgrading the power supply to enable hot drinks to be served from the Princess Street food and beverage station.
Both will be ready for use for the St Helens Challenge Cup tie.
4G pitch update
Work has started again on the new 4G pitch installation. The recent poor weather has delayed the start of installation by up to three weeks, but with the goal post sleeves having been installed and the shock pad and artificial turf installation starting early next week, we will soon have the installation complete!!
The pitch will be prioritised for use by our teams, which generates a significant saving in external pitch hires for our players and will also be used to generate revenue through external hires to local schools, teams and the community. An on-line hire portal and booking system will be made available towards mid-April to facilitate external bookings.
