REPORT: Toulouse Olympique v Castleford Tigers

It was defeat in France as the Tigers went down 24-12 against a good Toulouse Olympique side.
Reubenn Rennie made a break through the heart of the Castleford defence, and Mathieu Jussaume crashed over to put Toulouse ahead with just two minutes on the clock.
However, the Tigers were right back at it themselves, with Krystian Mapapalangi rising highest under a high kick from Weaver to score the try, with Weaver then adding the extras to put Castleford ahead.
Toulouse then controlled possession for an extended period of time, and Rennie this time scored in the corner as Olympique had numbers on the right-hand side. Cesar Rougé nailed the conversion to put the home side ahead by four.
Another swing, though, came after a big break from Jason Qareqare, and a flick from Mapapalangi put JQQ in at the corner for a second try. Weaver’s conversion hit the post, but after a back-and-forth period, he kicked a penalty goal five minutes before the half.
A better start from Cas to the second half, but after Toulouse challenged to get a scrum for a knock-on, they win in down the left as Matthieu Laguerre touched down in the corner.
Cesar Rougé’s kicking was good on the night, and he was soon brought into action again as Rennie crashed over following more pressure from the home side - and he once again kicked the conversion.
A penalty kick after a high shot moved them to two converted tries ahead, and the Tigers were unable to find a response.
