IN CONVERSATION: Brad Singleton

The Tigers face Leeds Rhinos in Brad Singleton's Testimonial on Sunday 18th January at the OneBore Stadium, with a 3pm kick-off.
We sat down with Brad himself to get his thoughts ahead of what should be a very memorable occasion.
Tickets for the game are available to buy at this link.
Q: How does it feel to be days away from your own Testimonial?
A: I’m very excited, slightly nervous, and very much reflective about the occasion. People tell you your career goes fast but you don’t truly believe and understand it until later in your career, and this Testimonial has gave me chance to look back - and I’ve enjoyed doing that.
Q: How special is this fixture for you, having played for both sides?
A: To have the game against Leeds Rhinos was always going to be big for me.
They’re the team that gave me my opportunity and ten years of rugby, going from a boy to a man there. The personalities and environment no doubt shaped who I am today.
Me and my family have such happy memories on and off the field there, there were plenty of big nights at Wembley and Old Trafford, but alongside that, there were friendships for life made there.
Q: Do you have a message to fans ahead of the game this weekend?
A: My main message would be... let’s set the tone for the season. There’s not many games bigger than a Cas-Leeds game at Cas.
Let’s show all our new boys and coach what the English Super League and gamedays are like. We’ve got a lot to prove this year and it starts as soon as we walk onto that pitch on Sunday for our first outing with our new badge in our Centenary year as a club.
Q: How are you feeling personally ahead of the 2026 campaign?
A: 2026 for me is exciting. I’m going to enjoy every minute of it, I’m quietly confident with how we go this year. And I’ll take it game-by-game, and fully take on board the rollercoaster that Super League will bring.
Q: How do you think the team are looking ahead of the start of the season?
A: Our team looks good! It’s no secret we’ve had a big turn over of personnel, some great players in there - but also great people.
Some no-doubt exciting players to watch out for, but the biggest thing I’m looking forward to is how we run under Ryan Carr and his system, he’s nailed his pre-season with the lads, and as a player, I’m eager to see how it transfers.
Q: How much have you enjoyed pre-season - and are you looking forward to being back on the field?
A: Pre-season is always a tough one for me. I love the season, I love the games, but pre-season is inevitable, and the boys have made it a great environment.
We’re all itching to play now and see what we can make of 2026 season!
