Tigers sign Jimmy Beckett

Castleford Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of prop forward Jimmy Beckett.

Making 31 appearances for Featherstone Rovers in 2025, he was a key part of a side that made the RFL Championship play-offs and the 1895 Cup final.

The 26-year-old has also previously appeared for Keighley Cougars, Oldham RLFC and Dewsbury Rams, where he grew to be one of the Championship's stand-out forwards.

On signing for the club, Beckett said: "It's a good feeling.

"It's my first time in a full-time setup so see how I'm going to progress, and that it's going to bring out the best in me. 

"Let's get after a successful 2026!"

Director of Rugby Chris Chester added: "We’re delighted to bring Jimmy to the Castleford Tigers. 

"Jimmy had a great year at Featherstone Rovers last year and he’s a player that both myself and Ryan think will really kick on here. 

"He is only 26 years old and has plenty of years ahead of him - and under Ryan’s guidance, we’re hoping he really kicks on and makes himself a Super League regular at Castleford.

"Jimmy works hard on both sides of the ball and we’re confident he will play a big part at the Tigers in the next few years."

He has already linked up with Ryan Carr's side, with preparations for the 2026 campaign well underway.
