FIRST INTERVIEW: Jimmy Beckett

How does it feel to be here at Cas?

It's a good feeling to be fair. It's my first time in a full-time setup so be good to see how I'm going to progress, and that it's going to bring out the best in me. 

What was it about Cas that made this the right move for you at this stage in your career?

Ryan Carr. I had him in 2019 at Featherstone and he is why I've come back [to work with him].

How did this move come about initially?

Obviously, we were all to-ing and fro-ing at Featherstone, not knowing what's going on there, and it got to a point where I couldn't wait any longer. 

This deal came up, and I just jumped at the chance.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

Tough and hard-working, never like to let my mate down.

Are you looking forward to running out in front of the fans at the OneBore Stadium?

Mega feeling, to be fair. It's been a long time since I've played here, so it'll be nice to be on the right side of the supporters this time!

Do you have a message to the fans about what they can expect?

I'm a tough and hard-working forward... and let's get after a successful 2026!
