Game Day Guide: Retro Round

The playoff race is heating up and we at the Tigers are hosting our penultimate home game of the regular season against Catalans Dragons!

Castleford take on the French side for the third time in 2022 with the scores tied at 1-1, and with the league table incredibly tight, both head into this fixture with firm aims of getting the win.

The more home fans we have in our home ground, the more intimidating The Jungle will be, so if you've not got a ticket yet - what are you waiting for?!

On Game Day - We advise getting e-tickets online at castlefordtigers.com/tickets - this is the easiest way to get your tickets and enter the ground on match day.

To purchase tickets at the gate, please head to the side of the training pitch and go to turnstiles 17 & 18 where both cash and card will be accepted. Turnstiles 17 & 18 will be the ONLY places that supporters can purchase match tickets at the gate.

Ticket Collection - Our Game Day Ticket Office will be open from 5.30pm for fans to pick up their tickets. This is located at the side of the training pitch.

Tigers Members and advance ticket holders can enter via any entrance point around the ground, with the stadium open fully from 6.30pm onwards for this fixture

Fords faithful we're encouraging you to wear your favourite shirts from yesteryear!

We at Castleford have had some memorable shirts in our 96-year history and we're looking forward to seeing what you all bring to the ground.

In the Fan Zone ahead of kickoff from 6.45pm, we will be hosting on The Molson Coors Stage a LEGENDS Q&A! Confirmed on the panel will be incredible Cas players: Graham Steadman, Bob Beardmore, Kevin Beardmore and Lee Crooks. Fans can hear some legendary opinions and ask their own questions too.

All the Tigers' music on the night will all be retro throwback classics too!

A new 'Retro Range' will be available for supporters in the near future too with Elite Pro Sports. The range will feature modern remakes of some iconic and memorable Castleford kits from years gone by. Keep an eye for these in the future...

The Fan Zone opens from 6.30pm and you can grab a drink, a bite to eat, and enjoy some music and the company of some legends and a few First Team players before the big game!

LEGENDS Q&A, LIVE MUSIC, DJ, AND KARAOKE

• Headlining The Molson Coors Stage we are hosting a Legends Q&A with Bob & Kevin Beardmore, Graham Steadman & Lee Crooks - that will get underway from 6.45-7.15pm.
• On the pitch we are thrilled to welcome Pedro Gaio who will be performing just after 7.30pm.
• LIVE on The Molson Coors Stage from 7.30pm those in the Fan Zone will be treated to Mia Stephenson who will be singing!
• Our resident DJ Laura Claire will get fans in the mood to sing and chant with top tunes before and after the game!
• The Fan Zone karaoke is back after full time too, so why not get your weekend started singing with fellow Cas fans?!

• On the main concourse young Tigers fans can get a custom balloon model, and we are providing FREE face painting!
• The next two #CollectACas player cards will be available for the first 200 fans who visit our Tigers Retail Trailer! Young Cas fans can pick up Joe Westerman & Callum McLelland cards at this game!

• The Princess Street Pie Bar will be open for the traditional rugby league delicacy
• The ‘Street Kitchen’ on the concourse behind the Main Stand with a whole host of options including burgers, kebabs, loaded fries and toasties, wraps, southern fried chicken, and MORE!
• At our Retro Round we're delighted to be welcoming local sweet connoisseur The Cottage who have some of the best sweet treats! 
• PLUS we have a Yorkshire pudding wrap stand available too - even in this heatwave that sounds superb!

• Bars around the ground will be open with bottle bars too in the back of our the Wheldon Road End, Railway End and Princess Street Stand.
• In the Fan Zone we have the ‘Doom Bar Real Ale Bar’ which features a number of guest beers
• Also in the Fan Zone we have our extended bottle bar for supporters to speed up queues, or give our gin, wine, and prosecco bar a go!
• The Legends Lounge is also open for supporters under the Main Stand.

The August edition of Castleford Tigers' official monthly magazine ROAR will be available around the ground and bars for supporters for just £2.

In this month’s magazine fans will be able to read:

• Exclusive: Suaia Matagi talks all things Cas and his positive mindset
• Maisie Lumb on being named vice-captain
• Exclusive: Lee Radford & Paul McShane pen their columns
• The latest update surrounding our stadium's redevelopment planning submission
• Griffin on his extension

• CTSC raise 100k and host a Youth Department night
• And SO MUCH MORE! Phew... It is an awesome issue!

At every First Team home match played at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle, supporters can get their hands on our highly exclusive, collectable cards called: #CollectACas! 200 fans at each fixture will be able to pick up their pair of #CollectACas cards and to complete a full set supporters will need to get all 26 cards that have been made.

With only 200 of each card available, these are highly limited and a maximum of one player card each will be distributed per person. For clarity, this means supporters will be able to collect at least two #CollectACas cards at every First Team match in 2022. Once they are all gone, that’s it – they’re gone!

For Friday Night Fever, we have an extra card for fans to pick up!

The Mend-A-Hose Jungle is easy to find and well signposted from the M62, exit the M62 at either J30 or J31.

We are only a few minutes away in a car or a 15-minute walk from the nearest train & bus station located in the Castleford town centre.
