As a leading UK provider of specialist piled solutions for problematic ground conditions, M&D Foundations have been designing and installing piled foundations since 1999. With seven offices around the UK, and a proven track record and reputation, they take on projects both large and small as a company people can trust.

The M&D Foundations branding will be seen on the front of our First Team players' shorts during matches.

Guy Townsley, Company Director of M&D Foundations discusses further the firm’s hard work and recent projects, national companies they work with and their work on a housing development in Castleford itself too.

“We work with local builders or individual homeowners with little extensions or new houses, and then we also work up to full housing estates, industrial developments and offering temporary wall solutions and retaining walls,” Townsley told castlefordtigers.com.

“We also work with big firms such as Vistry, with their offices around the country, GMI Construction who I know have been keen supporters of Cas, Torpoint who are another Yorkshire company, and also with Red Row, David Wilson, and Barratt Homes.

“We have just completed a large wind farm project in Scotland for I&H Brown, an Amazon warehouse in the Midlands, then down to Tilbury Docks on another Amazon project.

“In Castleford, we’re underway with a development on Navigation Point, so we work locally too. Working alongside Torpoint, it is a full housing estate with around 2,500 houses being built, with our small 24-ton precast rig.”

Discussing the partnership and joining the Tigers’ commercial family, Townsley saw similar values echoed from M&D and the Club.

“It is something that we thought would publicise the company a bit more, it’s a local club to us really, we are big rugby fans at M&D we’re from rugby league and union backgrounds, so we all have an affinity to it.

“Castleford is to us a family club, which is what we are, we are a family run business, and doing so we thought it was the right move for us, to get our name out predominantly in the north where rugby league is but to push it further south and let people know we are about.

“We support a couple of the local teams in football and rugby here in Doncaster, but to see a huge Super League club like Castleford wearing our brand is a bit surreal, it’s something me and the Directors are looking forward to seeing!”

Head of Commercial Partnerships at Castleford Tigers, Craig Jeffels commented on the new partnership and said: “I am delighted to welcome M&D Foundations to the Tigers partnership family as official playing kit partners in 2022.

“The national piling company based in Doncaster, who have seven offices spread across the UK, will be present on all our playing shorts next season as they look to expand their reach. I would like to thank Guy Townsley and Rikki Wiley (Directors) at M&D for their commitment and support, and for allowing us to form a partnership that we can grow and build on for the future.

“M&D join a number of well-regarded national brands who we are proud to be working with and proud to be adding to our portfolio of loyal and supportive partners here at Castleford.”
