Key Worker Spotlight initiative
Posted: Friday 10th April 2020 - 6:01 PM
Castleford Tigers and its Foundation have launched a ‘Key Worker Spotlight’ initiative to offer support and ‘give back’ to key workers across the district.
The club and official charity are providing 100 pairs of tickets for brave and tireless workers chosen by everyday people, for the Tigers’ next home match at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
In what has been deemed as the greatest challenge facing the nation in peace time, stories of inspirational people have united and inspired the country during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a reward and ‘thank you’ we would like to put the spotlight on these people sharing their stories providing, hope, inspiration and a smile.
Community Director of Castleford Tigers Foundation, Simon Fox, spoke about the initiative and said;
“We are living in a climate where nobody knows what to say, what to do or how to react; it’s beyond comprehension in many ways for every single person. But what keeps us going, what keeps us all strong and connected is the phenomenal hard work and inspiration of those key workers right across the land. From everybody in the NHS and emergency services through to delivery drivers, care workers, postal workers, refuse collectors and beyond, we want to say a very big ‘thank you’ for all their dedication and fearless commitment.”
To make your personal nomination for our ‘Key Worker Spotlight’ please complete the form at castlefordtigers.com/spotlight
Those chosen will be offered the chance to share their story and how they are helping the community, and country, in unprecedented times.
