21-man squad named for KR clash
Castleford Tigers Head Coach Daryl Powell has named his 21-man squad for this Thursday’s Betfred Super League Round 5 match away at Hull Kingston Rovers.
This match will not only be for two valuable league points, but it will also be for the Roger Millward Trophy which celebrates the life and career of a rugby league great. The trophy is modelled on Roger’s famous number six shirt and was introduced in 2018 to be contested between the two clubs, alternating grounds each year. Castleford will be looking to make it a hat-trick of wins for the trophy having won the occasion for the first two years.
The Fords head into this match on the back of a local derby victory over Wakefield Trinity 32-15, whilst the Robins want to stop a three-match losing run following defeats to Hull FC, Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants last week.
