Castleford Tigers are looking to expand their team as part of the #NewCasEra and we currently have three live vacancies.

Castleford Tigers have three opportunities to join the Club, with the applications now being taken for Head of Fan Experience, Commercial Sales Executive and a part-time Accounts Assistant.

All interviews will be held in November with start dates for the roles across December and January. Closing dates for all applicants will be Friday 12th November.  If you haven’t heard back from us by Friday 26th of November, your application has been unsuccessful this time.

 

Job Title: Head of Fan Experience

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week

Salary: Negotiable

Location: The Mend-A-Hose Jungle, Wheldon Road, Castleford, WF10 2SD

Reporting to: General Manager

As part of our expansion plans, we are looking to recruit a Head of Fan Experience to help us deliver a first-class match day experience at the Mend A Hose Jungle.

 

Role Summary

The role will encompass building the profile of the Club by looking for ways to improve the fan experience both on and away from matchdays.

The successful candidate will be expected to grow the number of memberships, market and enhance the overall matchday experience and be comfortable analysing data.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the First Team on community appearances, as well as ensuring the Club has strong relations with Castleford Tigers’ Supporters Club and the Fans Steering Group.

Key Responsibilities

·       Booking acts and entertainers for matchdays and events.

·       Organising street food and onsite catering.

·       Networking with new and existing clients, partners and customers.

·       Liaise with the Ticketing and Ambassador teams to ensure that the matchday and membership targets are exceeded.

·       Supporting the Marketing and Media team on the membership and matchday experience plan.

·       Helping other departments to organise and expand the non-game day events.

·       Working alongside Castleford Tigers’ Foundation and Community team on how to engage with the wider community.

·       Lead engaging customer service and fan-focused experiences in the matchday fan zone.

Personal Skills

·       A passion for customer service and willing to go above and beyond.  

·       Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work across different departments.

·       Punctual and reliable.

·       A clear, polite and professional manner.

·       Honest, hardworking and a can-do attitude.

·       Approachable and ability to work as part of a team.

·       Creative and computer literate.

·       Be able to demonstrate a record of managing and influencing a diverse number of stakeholders at different levels.

The role is a full-time permanent position, and the successful candidate will be required to work matchdays and events.

Job Title: Commercial Sales Executive

Hours of Work: 37 hours per week

Salary: Negotiable

Location: The Mend-A-Hose Jungle, Wheldon Road, Castleford, WF10 2SD

Reporting to: Head of Commercial Partnerships

 

Role Summary

The successful applicant will build long standing relationships with the Club’s existing partners and ensure all rights are fulfilled as well as sourcing new commercial partners both locally and nationally.

The role will require prospecting new corporate hospitality sales and organising commercial events with the assistance from the Head of Partnerships. Alternatively, you will be responsible for using various social media platforms to promote Castleford Tigers and our Partners.

Other roles may include attending local networking events and organising all commercial player appearances.

Key Responsibilities

·       Creating leads through to close of sale and managing your own portfolio of partners.

·       Face to face meetings with clients.

·       Organising venues, events and player appearances.

·       Nurturing clients and building relationships.

·       Contract writing and creating databases.

·       Creating proposals for potential new partners.

·       Promoting the Castleford Tigers brand and ethics.

·       Enhancing our partners’ commercial experience.

·       Invoicing through Sage and raising Sales Orders.

·       Creating and discussing exciting commercial content to promote our partners.

·       Being a key member of our matchday hospitality experience.

Personal Skills

·       The candidate must have previous experience in commercial sales.

·       A passion for sales and exceeding targets.

·       Enthusiastic, punctual and reliable.

·       A clear, polite and professional manner.

·       Approachable and ability to work as part of a team.

Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Hours of Work: 2 days per week

Salary: National Living Wage

Location: The Mend-A-Hose Jungle, Wheldon Road, Castleford, WF10 2SD

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to work 2 days a week including matchdays in a busy accounting office.

Role Summary

The role will require general accounting and office duties including cash handling, invoicing and data input. The successful candidate will further monitor direct debits and the purchase ledger.
