With this being the sole pre-season fixture in the Tigers’ calendar, a run-out against a fellow Super League side should serve as a terrific test ahead of the Betfred Super League competition in 2021, and with the season commencing two weeks later, the match will offer the Fords’ faithful their first look at 2021 recruits Niall Evalds, Jordan Turner and Lewis Bienek!

Director of Rugby Jon Wells stated: "This weekend's game is important for two reasons: 1. We get to celebrate the contribution to the Castleford Tigers of Adam Milner; one of our own; an international standard player and a one-club man; and 2. Daryl gets to look at what our front line combinations look like as well as giving some of our young guys the chance to force their way into everybody's thinking for Round 1 and beyond."

After serving Castleford for 11 years and making over 250 appearances in the club’s colours, Sunday will be an incredibly special day for Adam Milner and his family. Since making his debut back in 2010 he has seen the club go from strength to strength, being part of the side which reached a Challenge Cup Final in 2014 before walking out at Old Trafford in a Super League Grand Final three years later. “Adz” is an integral and highly regarded member of the squad at Wheldon Road, where he serves as one of the Tigers’ #ONECLUB men, having only ever played his domestic rugby for Cas.

The Tigers will take to the field in Adam’s testimonial kit, inspired by the Classy Cas sides of the early ’90s and Adam’s Childhood, and is designed by hummel. Men’s, Ladies’, and Children’s sizes are available to purchase online at adzmilner.com.
