Tigers 2021 fixtures revealed

The season will begin initially behind closed doors, with the first two rounds taking place all at the same venue, then from Round 3 on matches will return to single-game events and this will see the Tigers make their return to The Mend-A-Hose Jungle for match action.

Following on from the Government’s strategy announcement to ease lockdown restrictions, rugby league clubs are expected to finally welcome back supporters into stadiums from May 17th. This could mean that Castleford’s first match with fans back in attendance could be the Round 8 clash against Leeds Rhinos at Wheldon Road, however, this remains subject to change due to the ongoing pandemic.

For early round matches played behind closed doors, 2021 Season Ticket holders will be able to watch these games through the Our League platform. Further details of how this will work for Fords fans will be published in due course.

Castleford start and end the 2021 regular season against Warrington Wolves, for the Tigers it all begins on Sunday, 28th March at 2.45pm at Emerald Headingley Stadium, the third day of double-headers live on Sky Sports to kick off the new campaign.

A Good Friday battle follows in Round 2 when the Tigers meet Leeds Rhinos for the first time in 2021 at the Totally Wicked Stadium, this round will be in support of Mose Masoe. In Round 3, Castleford will return home to The Mend-A-Hose Jungle against Leigh Centurions, it will be the first match held at the Tigers’ home since last October and the first meeting between the two clubs since 2017.

Dacia Magic Weekend has been moved to later in the year with Castleford opening the rugby league festival against Salford Red Devils on Saturday, 4th September. Round 25, the final regular season round, sees Castleford hosting Warrington at The Mend-A-Hose Jungle.

Once Sky Sports confirm their selections for broadcast, the club will be able to confirm their playing dates for fixtures in due course.
