Last week the Tigers played their first full competitive game winning 50-22 against a resilient Selby College side.

In what proved to be an entertaining encounter, Castleford were able to take the initiative and build a healthy lead.

Two weeks earlier, the Tigers' first scheduled fixture of the season against Leeds City College was abandoned after just 20 minutes.

Castleford’s Ellis Cheetham suffered a dislocated knee which in the end forced the referee to call the game off as the player, who was unable to move off the field, waited for the arrival of an ambulance.

Next up for the Tigers is a first round cup tie against Hull KR which takes place on Wednesday at Sandy Desert, Lock Lane. The game kicks off at 2pm.
