Yorkshire and Lancashire legends clash at the Jungle today!
Following on from the success of the inaugural Origin Legends War of the Roses clash last August, Yorkshire and Lancashire will renew their rivalry on Saturday 23 June at Castleford’s Mend-A-Hose Jungle in a benefit game for Michael Shenton and Adrian Morley.
Over 5,000 attended at Headingley Stadium last year to see many greats of the game come together and represent their respective counties in a fiercely contested game for Ryan Hall’s testimonial.
The two star-studded line-ups produced a game worthy of Super League today in an incredible atmosphere, with Yorkshire taking the spoils with a narrow 14-12 victory.
Lancashire will come looking for revenge this year and will be led once again by Adrian Morley, with the game also celebrating the career of the Great Britain legend.
It promises be a fantastic day of Rugby League with the National League Conference War of the Roses taking place at 3pm as the NCL’s best players face off from both sides of the Pennines.
Doors to the event will open at 2pm, with a junior Rugby League festival also taking place before the Origin Legends showdown kicks off at 7pm - in what is expected to be another bumper crowd.
Not only this, following the legends match the England vs New Zealand Test from Denver will be shown live on the big screen at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle for fans to watch.
Pre-purchased tickets for the full event are priced at just £10 adults, £5 juniors with the day free for under 5’s. This event is all e-ticket, you simply buy online and either print your ticket at home or show your email ticket on your mobile phone on arrival.
