Tigers To Launch College Courses
Posted: Monday 19th March 2018 - 9:40 AM
Castleford Tigers are offering Year 11 students the opportunity to further their education with the launch of the Castleford Tigers College of Rugby League.
The programme will be launching in September 2018, and will offer students the opportunity to combine their studies with the chance to train and play Rugby League as part of the new Castleford Tigers Category 3 academy or the Castleford Tigers Women’s Super League development squad.
The students will have the option to study the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sport Performance and Excellence. This two year qualification is the equivalent to three A-Levels and provides students with a valuable insight into the variety of subjects within the sporting industry. Alternatively, students have the option to study skills based courses. The courses will be delivered in collaboration with our partners at the Skills Exchange (Wakefield College).
The first opportunity for students to come down and sample the course will be on 4th April 2018 between 12-3pm. The session will take place at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle and will give students an overview of the course.
More sessions will be available to attend throughout the year for students, look out for dates on castlefordtigers.com and Castleford Tigers’ social media.
All the sessions are free and held here at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
Year 11 pupils who wish to express their interest in enrolling on the Tigers College of Rugby League, or wish to attend these sessions please contact email@example.com.
